DEMONOLOGUÉ – Demonosound Newsletter 3/94 (Autumn)

Demonologue – newsletter 2/1994

The year’s second newsletter brought many changes. First, it was pro-printed and arrived in an aesthetically improved non-standard slim format. The newsletter would now have for issues a year instead of the previous six. More remarkably, Demonosound was now the only official name for the label and the newsletter renamed Demonologue, accordingly. The zine carried on with the name Hammer of Damnation.

Also new content was an interview with the Swiss experimental black doom group Mordor, interviewed by Filip Elsen. The reason for such new feature was perhaps reflected in the news section:

“The future of HAMMER OF DAMNATION Magazine is very uncertain. IF we’ll return with a fifth issue, it won’t become true before mid 1995 or something…”

In other news, “HERB MULLIN Arthole cassette was released in March. The response on it has been very positive considering it isn’t one of those “commercial” releases at all. Those into industrial/ambient noise should check it out [why not other weirdos, too] …”

Remarkably perhaps, despite all the obvious changes on other fronts: no new releases or projects announced this time!

Newsletter 2/1994 was offset printed in non-standard slim format (10×21 cm), 20 pages, edition of 200 copies.
